Details Necessary to Intimate or Register Claim

The flowing details are required to intimate or register a claim :

  • Policy Number and Details
  • Driver Details including Driving License and Address
  • Car Registration Details such as Make, Model, Engine and Chassis Number
  • Accident Details such as Date, Time, Location, Description
  • Address of Inspection including Garage
  • Mileage or Kilometre Reading
  • Contact Details of Owner

A reference number is provided after the claim is successfully registered, and it should be used in all future emails / forms / correspondence.

Once a claim is registered for repair work after an accident, the surveyor appointed by the company will inspect the car and estimate the cost of repairs. Once the claim is approved, the repairs are done and car returned to you after it is found road worthy.

  • The repair work should not get start till the survey is done.
  • During intimation the description of the accident and damage has to be precise.
  • It is advisable to be present during survey
  • Surveyor requires original DL/RC during survey

Points to Remember

  • During intimation the description of the event is very crucial.
  • Original RC and Duplicate keys have to be submitted.
  • FIR is a mandatory and has to be registered at the place of theft.
  • FIR has to be submitted with the insurer
  • Insurer will approve the claim post confirmation from Police.
  • Theft claims generally takes 3-6 months to settle.

  • Consent towards agreed claim settlement value from you and Financer
  • NOC of the Financer if claim is to be settled in your favour
  • Blank and undated "Vakalatnama"

Garage List Required
